New wheels and tires with pics
Just got these the other day. Waiting for the brakes to get done before I get to drive on them. They are Boyd Coddington Nemesis 17x8 with 245/45/17 up front and 18x9.5 with 275/40/18 on the rear. This is on STOCK trailing arms.
The back. I am sure I will have to lower the car once I get it back on the ground to give it the right look.
A close up of the fronts. Notice the new brakes behind the wheel. :D
Here is a good shot that shows the tread pattern of the Kumho Ecsta MX's.

Re: New wheels and tires with pics (70 LS1)
I've said it time and again.......BOYDS ROCK!!!!!!!!......I've got a set of Smoothies for my late model daily driver....but they don't fit my Vette.....I'd love to buy a set, but I've got other priorities (like a new engine)........those wheels look sweet....and on a Vert too......I'm crying

BUT, the rotor faces are 1/8" thinner than stock, so that means they have the equivelant of 4.875" on the rears. This is on stock trailing arms. The parking brake bracket is inside the wheel as is the spring. I think if I have to lower it much, I will have to buy a shorter spring.

Fronts have 4" backspacing. Rears have 4.75" backspacing.

Great looking wheels, the Boyd's are sharp! Nice looking meats too! Kuhmos are really really good tires, good wear rating and sticky at the same time. Good choice!

Please Please Please set it down and take some pictures of the rears, showing the spring, sway bar...etc. This is my dream setup, but I can find no pictures anywhere showing me that it will work!! I need just a few pics to give me that "warm fuzzy" before I drop $2k+ on this setup. We're drooling out here, and waiting for the final show!!!

I too love the Boyd styles, my favorite are RedSharks'. Someday... So you went with 18s on the rear? I had asked about how that would look a while ago, and didn't find anybody with that setup. So the parkingbrake bracket is still in the stock location?? What exactly would be conflicting if you lowered more? Glad to hear it's working for you and I too would LOVE to see it on the ground!
