Oil Filters????
I have used WIXX and FRAM, Today at AutoZone they told me FRAM is junk and STP is one of the best next to WIXX and just below K&N...
Has this have any truth. Nice think about the STP is it is blue like my car. But the Fram Orange matches the motor.

Re: Oil Filters???? (69Sting)
:bs Long time ago consumer reports rated Fram the best oil filters tested. But that was about 10 years ago and new products are engineered all the time?

The Forum set me straight concerning oil filters; I'm using Mobil 1 now.

The only filter I use on my car is the AC Delco Long filter, it used to be numbered PF-35, they recently changed to a different numbering system. A couple of years ago someone posted a link to a site that had done extensive testing. The A/C Delco filter was top rated. I wish I could find that link, it is a real eye opener, you'd be amazed at who makes who's filter.

Re: Oil Filters???? (69Sting)
I have been using the NAPA gold filters with good results. I used to use AC can no longer find them in the stores around here. I used Fram on my truck and corvette briefly and found I had valve noise on both. I replaced the filter with a NAPA after reading the oil filter test web site and the problem went away.

Re: Oil Filters???? (adamdinat)
I am now a lot more educated on Oil Filters and Fram will not be found in my garage any more. I am going back to Wix or using AC Delco if available for the vehicle. Of course it is for the Vette, but not sure about my T100 or Sentra.
Thanks Everyone

i ran FRAM for years, but after reading a study that i saw on here, i will never ever again run one of those... Wix is the only way... If i can't find one of those, i will go with a NAPA gold
