Hey 74-Roadster, that is exactly the next project I'd like to tackle --find a 74 roadster (non #'s car) and make it the vert GM SHOULD have made from 80-82 (without the crossfire)..........Maybe LS1 :auto:

How'd you find yours?? can already see the 80's nose, what other mods you planning??

Thanks! My custom nose is still reminiscent of a 74. It’s not an 80-82 style nose. I’m going to smooth and shave the 74 vert keeping all the original lines GM intended. I plan on building a full tilt nose, glass in the hood and headlights, glass the nose and rear cover to the body. Redo the deck lid with humps behind C5 seats, add a waterfall between the seats, incorporate C5 mirrors and make custom rocker panels. In lieu of adding standard flares on all four corners, I’m going to try and make new rear quarter panels off of a home-made fiberglass mold taken from clay modifications to the car that will discretely bow out 3” wider than the stock rear quarter panels. From my planning so far, I think the wider rear quarter panels will have to flow into the door panel to look correct . . . that part will be tough. When a door is open I don’t want to be able to see any added thickness from a section/panel that was added to the door. I hope to have all of this sit on a C3 frame modified with C4 suspension and driven by an LT5 mounted to a 4L60. The wider rear end will be my attempt to acknowledge the original home of the LT5.

Stay tuned . . . this project will take me many years.

I like this, it's well  although I'd change the rims:

Credit where credit's due, I robbed that pic from the Corvette Kingdom Website (http://www.corvetteuk.com/).
