maybe a vacuum hose?????
I spotted a hose that comes out of the heater housing on the firewall that is not hooked to anything. (very small Internal Diameter) Could this be the hose that needs to be connected to the yellow striped vacuum line coming from the wiper actuator located in the right side fender well??? :auto:

Re: maybe a vacuum hose????? (runamuck)
Not sure I fully understand where you are saying it is, but, On the passenger side of a '72 you should have three little ones going into your wiper well thru the same hole to the wiper parked switch. One of the three is a relief type and does not connect to any thing.
Hope this helps :seeya
PS. go to this site and you will see a diagram. the switch is in the upper left cornor behind the wiper door actuator.

:iagree:
One hose is open to the atmosphere. I agree that it looks odd, and that it looks like it should be hooked to something, but it really is supposed to just sit there open.

Thanks guys.
The hose I am talking about comes out of the heater casing. I hooked it up and it looks like it provides vacuum to the heater doors that open and close to provide air to the defrost or the floor. I think its the feed to the heater controls in the center consol
