I never had a problem with it when I was using the Pertronix Ignitor pointless conversion unit. Now I am using the IgnitorII with variable dwell. when I am checking the RPM, the needle drops to zero rpm when I get to 2000 rpm. Car runs great so I am not sure what is going on. The analyzer seems to work fine past 2000 rpm on my other cars.
