Looking for a good C-3 hat....
Anyone know of any place you can find a good quality C-3 ball cap(hat)? Most that I see these days are more for the C-5 crowd and nothing really unique looking for the C-3's. Am I missing some places up here? If you've got a good looking C-3 hat I'd like to see it and let me know where you got it. I've seen everything on E-bay and what the places like Eckler's have. I'm not impressed.

Find someone (ask wife or girlfriend) that has one of those computer controlled sewing machines, that they use to do embroidery. Scan in a C-3 Logo that you like, get them to produce the patch, then start selling them to us C-3 guys. :D
Seriously, it is amazing the work these things turn out, the lady in the next office has a daughter who makes all sorts of stuff for people. I've considered asking her to make a C-3 hat logo for me, anyone have any favorite pictures of the logo?

Getting thin on top is real old hat. :D It's been since my early 30's that I didn't have to do any grooming on top. Just shine it up!

Re: Looking for a good C-3 hat.... (72GACRZR)
So.... I just bought this hat off of E-bay. It's definitely C-5, but a little bit different. Supposedly 1 of 24 that were made for a recent Detroit automotive show. Not that I care if that is true. Again... just looking for unique and goes with the color scheme of a black '71. Add to it rose colored Rayban aviator sunglasses and the next C-5 who drives by me without waving gets his butt kicked.
Just so everyone knows.... I was out cruising on both Saturday & Sunday and ran into numerous C-5's and other muscle cars. All waved and so did I. The tradition has not stopped by any means. I waved first by the way. It tends to give a better feeling when you are willing to take the time first. Didn't run into any C-3's.

I went to the corvette museum and could not find one......
A friend gave me a 78 25th anniversary patch that I am going to have sewn on to a hat.

I'll add my name to the list of frustrated searchers - I'm about ready to just buy a good cap and hot glue a nose emblem onto it

Well, there is the C3 Flames, winged flames, and checkered flames hat from Eclkers:
Mid America also has some. I prefer the black one with no lettering:

Since I have had no luck in posting images, the third hat down on this site I thought was rather unique. It seemed a bit different than anything else I have seen.

Re: Looking for a good C-3 hat.... (SCVetteGuy)
Talk about a timely thread!
I just recently started to wear ball caps - never thought they looked good on me - and was just thinking today that I have to pick up a C3 cap. Now I find out they are hard to find. I like some in the pics above though.
