Got a flat today while doing 70mph.......
I was driving along in the slow lane today (can you believe it??) doing roughly 70mph on I-10 when the road became really rough. Now normally this is perfectly normal living in South Louisiana with the raods we have but then I start smelling burnt rubber. I pull over and see the tire is low, no big deal, I'll just have to change it.
While changing it I noticed not one **** would get in the left lane while they see me changine a flat. I mean even the 18 wheelers are doing an 85mph fly by only 2ft away from me. :mad
Anyway I took the tire off and I seen the worst of it. Need less to say I ordered two new tires. :mad
Just looks like a low tire, I thought so too.
Until I flipped it over and seen this!!

Glad to hear you survived Cor. Had a blowout one night on I-10. 65 mph in the passing lane next to an 18 wheeler. Not fun. Coming back from a training session in N.O.

I was riding with my dad in a 72 coupe one day. We were doin about 90 and he started to slow down and thought the car felt kinda funny.
Looked at the rear tire and it was blown out. Handled fairly well with a blown out tire. I was suprised. Figured it would have been alot worse.

I had that happen a few years ago in a Firebird, tire looked just like that to.
It's no fun changing tires on the side of a busy Road.

The good news is you didnt get hurt or do any damage to yourself or your car. Tires are any easy fix. :auto:
