If the have the moent by all means do it. They look awesome IMO. I didn't have the extra coin, plus it would really choke down the performance on my Big Block. I went w/ the Hooker Side mounts instead.

bill, that site didn't work. and i've always loved the look of your car. that one of the looks i'm going for on my 69. it all came to me, sitting in class, daydreaming and imaging how i want this car to look, and i think nothing completes a chrome bumper c3 more than a set of those pipes.

Here's something close to what your car might look like with sidepipes.

She's a goner out of my garage shortly.

I love the factory look sidepipes. I wish I could afford to buy them. I am always looking for a set but as you say they are very pricy. Someday maybe

I have the fiberglass covers on mine at this time. I painted them to look stock. I have the factory insolators and chrome covers in NOS still in the boxes. The only problem is I'm missing the 2 center sections of the chrome parts. I'll find them some day...then off with the fiberglass covers. They don't look to bad though.

Here you go, l like the look of oem side pipes, but if the car didn't already come with them when l bought it, l would probably have gone for an exhaust that was more performance oriented.

The 69 style factory side pipes are the most beautiful side pipes they ever put on a Vette! I waited years before I could make myself spend that much money for an exhaust system, but the day I put them on made it worth every penny of that VISA bill. Go for it. Click on the link in my signature below to see how they look on my Vette. I can't figure out how to get the photo in my signature.

Just regular silver and black spray paint with a clear coat over it. I have had them for 2 years now, with about 1200 miles on them. They still look like the day I painted them.

Got to love the side pipes, they make the vettes look, well like the vettes I saw as a kid growing up in the late 60's and early 70's. Love the sound, hate the heat!!

I know a guy that has a set of almost NOS pipes and mufflers. He wants 1500 for the set. Let me know if you are interested.
