How to identify a 700R4
I was out in the boneyard earlier today trying to locate a 700R4. It was one of these pick a part places so help is not an option. Does anybody have any telltale identification or something to look for to differentiate these from anything else. I was mainly hitting passenger cars between 87-90 and saw a few I thought were it, but then looked at a few S10 Blazers which I thought had one in them as well but the shape of the pan was different. If someone has pics or just some good advice I would be most thankful..
Thanks
Eric

Re: How to identify a 700R4 (Twin_Turbo)
A quick way to identify a 700R4 are the requiste leaks around the pan & speedo cable. A unit with more than a 1000 miles will have additional leaks at the front and rear.

yours that bad? mine never leaked, in the beginning the speedo cable drive was leaking, replaced o ring, made sure there were no burrs on the metal, worked flawlesslu. The input shaft side on mine never leaked at all, neither did the pan.
