Default 1977 brake light

I have a 1977 corvette and my brake light turned on yesterday. I suspect that is the master cylinder leaking pressure because I can feel it on my brake pedal... Is there any troubleshooting to check what's going on? If I have to replace the master cylinder, is this easy to do?
Please if someone have any tips, let me know...
Thanks,
Sandro.

The switch on the proportioning valve activates the brake light if you have a fluid loss. Check for any signs of brake fluid on your lines, hoses, calipers, etc. Once you locate and repair the leak, bleed the brakes in this order: LR, RR, RF, LF and you should be good to go. There is also a remote possibility your proportioning valve is bad, but try the other stuff first.
