oil pressure guage and line
Removed and sat for 3 months. When I reassembled the pressure reading was substancially lower(25PSI) than prior to disassembly.I have removed the line and guage a second time. cleaned guage and blew out the line and reassembled again. It has improved the pressure reading to approx. 40 PSI
but this is still lower than the original readings of 55-60 prior to disassembly.
I am going to try this for a while to see if the reading improves. Anyone have this happen to them? Any advice to pass on to a frustrated old Guy? :mad  :banghead:

Re: oil pressure guage and line (runamuck)
Really need a calibrated gauge to compare readings against each other. Sounds like you have a mechanical gauge and run the oil at full press into the console. Yes it could be a blocked/clogged/bent line. Guess the cheapest place too start is new/straight line. Now you’d be surprised how high a pressure the small plastic/nylon tubing is rated. For ¼” over 100 psi and the smaller stuff (1/8”) is rated even higher. But I never know when some generic imported material will make me a liar.
Best bet would be to locate a reliable gauge and measure directly for comparison. A new gauge is nice but I still like to verify with the certified calibrated piece. I don’t expect a calibration company would be a cheap alternative but then if your really worried and just have to get it right. Not a bad idea really when installing new equipment.

Plastic line. Pressure seams to be climbing each time I start the engine. Up to 45 PSI now. Thanks  :grouphug:

I repalced mine with a copper line. Plastic lines kink easy and crush when they are tightened after a couple of times.
