How did Hot Wheels know what a 70 vette was going to look like in 67. I smell something fishy. I think he changed the body on it or something. Just my .02

That guy is seriously stoned!!! It's in very poor condition . . . I don't know what the market demands but can't believe a hot wheels in such poor condition will command even close to $300.

Naw, the Hot Wheels trademark was granted in 1967. So thats the date they put on there to protect the trademark...the car could have been made several years later.

Just like our Vettes, you can buy reproduction parts to restore Hot Wheels...redline tires, interiors, steering......for $300 I would expect at least a new set of tires :)

I currently own 4 of these HotWheels. :yesnod:
That one is only worth about $50-$75 tops.......$300 if it's in the original package.
It's a 1968 model made in 1967. The designer of Hot Wheels got a spy photo of the '68 model by GM connections through a friend. When GM found out they almost "sued" mattel but instead made a settlement after they saw how popular the toys were when they hit the market.
Truth is that the '68 model should have been a '67 but GM wasn't ready and Zora's poor health conditions at the time stalled the 'new' model from making production.
I currently own 102 original redline Hot Wheels from '68 thru '74.....
My collection is currently worth approx. $5000 !
My most expensive model is a Tom McEwen mongoose dragster still in the original unopened package with a decal sheet !!!
