There aren't any "Vettes only" yards around here that I know of. There is one up in Webster, NY in the Rochester area. I saw an article in Cars & Parts Corvette about it a year ago or so.
How long are you going to be in the area? I am about 1 mile outside Albany if you want to get together for dinner or a couple of beers.

You could try looking at Marcel's Corvette in Mechanicville. (just outside of Albany) He sells new & used parts.

Thanks . I just found out I'm actually going to be in Kingston. I'll be working nights so it might be difficult to get together for a beer but I'll keep your email address and if my schedule changes I'll let you know. I'll be in the area about 2 1/2 weeks.

Jim Glass Corvettes in in Kingston. Stop there in your spare time and check out his inventory. I'm told he has some nice stuff but is a little pricey.

Yes, Marcel sponsors our Vette Club. Now that you are in the area, you know there is a big car show in Lake George this weekend.

I didn't know about the show. I'll be kinda busy this weekend, but I'll try to find some time to go there on Saturday.

Here's an archived post, where I put up a list of 'vette boneyards and parts places - nationwide. Look about halfway down.

Re: Albany NY Junkyards (NHvette)
I personally had a bad experience at Marcells. I had him put a 373 rear and side shafts in my 81 in the mid 90's. 2 miles down I hit 2nd gear and my drive shaft started banging around. I coasted to the side of the road and walked to a pay phone and called him and was told it was my problem. He would not even help me get a tow truck!
After I got the car home I found that the u-joint clamps were loose and one bolt was not even in there. The center bolt was also loose. I am sure this is a isolated incident because he has been in business for a long time, and his mechanic was the reason for it but WTF? "Thats not my problem" and "They must have been loose when you brought it in." Dirty! :P
