OT - but had to share: One Quarter Million Miles !!
Yup - but not on my vette. :lol:
My daily driver 1989 Buick Park Ave.
I bought it in 1992 with 72k miles.
Since then, we have managed to drive it over 178k miles in 11 years.
That's right - but more impressive is that it still has almost ALL of the original parts.
Only the water pump and alternator have been replaced on the engine.
The tranny - untouched. Rear wheel bearing assemblies: from the factory.
It has the 6 digit odometer - so I just may see 999k someday.

I was just out on a road trip this weekend burning up our $2.43 per gallon 91 octane and I have just passed through 166,000 miles.
I guess that I don't drive it enough:) It's taken me @ 23 years to do it on my 1979

Very impressive considering that you are up in the Northeast in the "rust belt"... I am surprised the car is in that good of shape!!!!

ha ha ha my 91 park ave has a quarter million miles too, original engine and trany, cold air with R12 still in it, but rear bearings had to be changed out didnt like the humming they made 90mph, last summer i drove it from Massachsettes to texas to LA to denver to yellow stone to the 5 great lakes to canada to massachsettes to florida to texas "again" to mexico to grand canyion to LA put it on a boat and its here in hawaii, this years i put 20,000 mile driving around this rock, and no problems, oh oh top it off, my 82 vette which found abandon 2 monthes ago doing a title search has over 200,000 miles threw a battery in it, it actually started, but the hole car is a ?????? but this week will be drivable, got lucky :steering:

We had a '84 Prelude that was somewhere 200k+, most of it wasn't ours though, and it exploded about a month ago. That car cost me $1, can't say it was too bad of an investment... sold it for $45 to the junkyard after all :jester

i saw a 67 bb vert in vette magazine that had like 450k miles on it with the original drivetrain. I think the engine was rebuilt twice. Image driving one of those babies 450k miles...what a dream...
