GM restoration package
Found this on another forum. GM is offering a restoration package for Corvettes. I believe it includes a build sheet, available options, trim package, paint code, engine specs, etc....... It's free. All you need is your VIN and call 1-800-222-1020. I just called and the lady said I would have it in 3-4 weeks. :chevy

Re: GM restoration package (BlueL36)
Strange. I called and asked for one, they said they'd send it. But my impression was that it was just specs and restoriation tips for a given model year, not build sheets. Hell, they didn't even ask me for my VIN, so even if they had a build sheet (which I've always been led to believe they don't 'cause it all burned up), they couldn't send it to me.

It doesnt include a build sheet just the entire specs for that year. Thats strange cause Ive got one for both my cars and they asked for the VIN both times.....LT

Re: GM restoration package (bertmeister)
No build sheet was provided when I got mine (??? years ago), but it is a nice package.
Good post to have every few months or so to make new owners aware of the service

Burned up? When, where and how? I've never heard this story. Anyone?

What is it with fires and important records and documents? It is the same weird correlation I see between mobile homes and tornadoes, they always seems to be hand in hand. What gives? I just had to make this observation, carry on!

Story I heard was a fire at the factory took out the records, so if you don't get the build sheet off your gas tank, you don't get it period.

According to Monster Garage terminology
FREEBIE - ZIP - NADA ! :flag
I actually got two of them somehow. They both had the exact same info but unfortunately no build sheet. Mine was lost in the great fire :cry
