Muncie to Bellhousing bolts?
Are these anything special? The M-22 I bought came without the bellhousing attached and I decided on a Lakewood scattershield. I couldn't find a "specific" ARP listing. Are they grade 8?
Man, this rebuild is starting to nickle and dime me to death. Everytime I turn around, I need new bolts or fittings that I didn't anticipate.
Good news is that I got the Centerforce clutch, block protector and bellhousing installed.

Bolts are not special...if you want the correct headmarkings, than Paragon is the place to get them...
On a side note, I promised to send you the brass pilot bearing....I've looked all over, tore the garage appart, I've missplaced the thing, or it's gone...I can't find it....sorry.

I went to Lowes and bought grade 8 bolts in their bolt section to replace a couple I lost. If you have ARP then you can't do much better.

Don't use bolts. Put studs in the bellhousing. When it comes time to install the transmission just slide it over the studs and put on the washers and nuts.
Makes life alot easier then holding the transmission in place and trying to start the bolts at the same time.

Len, ARP makes the stuff you need, but you're not gonna like the price...

Norval's stud idea sounds great, maybe Home Depot, Lowes, etc., will have them?

Never thought of the stud idea. I like it a lot. Will be installing my tilton OT-II today with the Tranny. It sounds like an great idea. I will have to try it.
Other than than, I would not use anything less than a Grade 8 bolt.

You don't need grade 8. The trany is not trying to rip itself out. The trany mount keeps it pushed forward and from rotating.
Those bolts can be anything. In a stock situation they are only going into aluminum anyway. The threads would stip long before the bolt breakes.
