HOLLEY 4175.......GOOD OR BAD?
Has anyone used the Holley 4175 650cfm spread bore carb? I am considering purchasing one and I thought it looked good because the fuel and vacuum lines match up without any mods. Any feedback is appreciated!!

I've got one on my car now. It came with the car.
I'm going back to a QJet because of the support on here (from lars and others)...
Mine's leaking like a seive right now :) (needs rebuilt)

Re: HOLLEY 4175.......GOOD OR BAD? (Matt Gruber)
I had a 4165 on my L48 and it ran awesome! I think the difference between the 4165 and the 4175 is the 4165 is a mech secondary double pumper while the 4175 is a vac secondary single pumper. Stepping on the gas looked like 4 shower heads inside the venturies, but there was never any hesitation. I'd be running it right now but I couldn't come up with a spread bore intake low enough to fit under the hood on the big block.

Ran one for a while. It ran smoother than a Q-Jet with zero hesitation, but did not have the oomph of the Q-Jet. After about 3 months it got sick and never was the same. Had two people screw around with it and ended up with a bookend.
