I had the base 270HP 350 (ZZ4 now but original fuel system) with eec and want the best and cheapest fuel tank I can get. What vendor is the best for this item?

I think I ordered my tank from Zip last year. It was about $200 and when it arrived it was shipped from Quanta. I believe both places are in Virginia

I saw a vendor at Carlisle that had gas tanks. I'm not sure how there prices are. You can always check them out at http://www.gastanks.com

I brought new tank, gas cap, sender, new hoses, overflow tube and boot, Ran about $390 inc shipping, Then at Volunteer Vette, I brought a gas tank neck for $65. Thus I spend about $455 on a complete new gas tank and hoses.

I have a 77 fuel tank with bladder available. It's been throughly cleaned and the sender is included. The shop will ensure it works. None of the tanks I saw at Carlisle come with a bladder. All are metal. I'm replacing my original tank for the rebuild with a custom fuel cell that will have the bottom made for the fuel injection pickup, with a few baffles inside. Natually, we will be adding volume.

Replacing the tank is a real hassle. Buy quality so you only do it once.

I just received my Quanta Products gas tank today and it is an exact copy of my original :D :D I installed the new sending unit and sock tonight and cleaned up the filler neck. Still waiting on my quart can of POR-15 (should be here any day) to seal the frame from rust back there. Hopefully I'll be back on the road by Sunday afternoon :thumbs:

No, I just got the tank from them but it does come with a new locking ring, sending unit-o-ring and filler neck gasket and bolts. The filler neck bolts are special because the heads had a concave sholder that holds a small o-ring. Everything else I got from Zip (Corvette forum discount and all:thumbs: ) . Total price for the tank was $216.05 including shipping.
