Have You Ever Wrecked A C3?
Just thought I would ask. It may be a topic that brings up bad memories.
Back in the early 80's I slid my 77 (my first vette) into a tree. The car was closed to totaled but I had it fixed. Kept it another year and traded up for my 80.
After wrecking your car, did you fix it or get rid of it. have any of you ever bought the totaled car back from the insurance company? Did that work out for you?

No I havent, but my best friend did, he wasnt killed but he is confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. It has been over 10 years and he still doesnt know who I am. It is sad what drinking and driving will do. He lost control and hit a cement light pole at 70 mph sideways, in the drivers door. noone else was with him at the time.

I was 17 two years ago and I had an accident with my old '79.
It was just friggen destroyed. It looked like it was about to pounce or something, instead of the tough vette it used to be. Poor Expedition never saw my stupidity coming.
I've babied my '80 since the day I got it....Ironically enough, the old vette was white, and this one is black. Kinda kewl, this car will last forever the way I drive it. Two years can really help a person learn and mature. :U

Both this one and a C4, the C4 I wrecked was my 84 Z51 about 1/2 an hour after I bought it. Some doofus decided the rear wasn't pretty enough and remodeled it :(
Realy a shame, it was a nice car w/ beautiful wheels and the ultra stiff suspenion. Could have made it into a nice street racer. :sad: :nonod:
Then about a year later another uidiot remoddeled the rar of the 82 in the same fashion

Also wanted to add my .02,,,,GO BUCS!!! (I was born in Tampa.... when I was in HS>......interviewed Ricky Bell and Doug Williams) ps::: must admit it was HUGE surprise they were both black. :eek: )
