As many of you probably know, I can not do VIN history (CarFax) for my 1978 Corvette because it is pre-1981. Are there any services available to do a title search for a car like this?

You can try contacting your local DMV for registration history. I did it with my 71. Glad I did, it was worth the $10 it cost me. Only problem is if your vette was in a different state before, you will have to do it for each state it was in.... I think some states don't even do it....
