Do You Have An Emergency Kit In Your Car?
I don't currently have one, but am planning on pulling some stuff together.
So, what do you have in yours? :skep:

Safety type stuff I always keep in my car include a fire extinguisher, flashlight, roadmap, jumper cables, small tool kit (screwdrivers, wrenches), rag, mickey of Crown Royal (kidding). I always carry my cell phone with me and I have CAA.
I know some people like to save weight by removing the spare tire but I leave mine on. I figure as soon as I take it off I will get a flat tire

Took my spare tire out, but probably replaced that weight with all the crap I take with me. Fixaflat, AAA card, and cellphone for tire reasons. Plus extra: ATF, oil, coolant, P/S fluid, and brake fluid. Full electrical kit, first aid kit, tarp, flares, lug wrench, maps. That's about all I can think of. I've been meaning to add some kindof canned food in case of stranding, and water, maybe a better first aid kit, and more tools. I've heard radiator hoses, etc. as recommended, all I have is some extra heater hose. Naturally I have a fire extinguisher, as you mentioned in a previous thread.

Chrome .45 and a Cell Phone
Quite the, ahem, safety kit.
I carry assorted screwdrivers (one trim screw always seems to undo itself), electrical tape (always handy), fire extinguisher (hopefully never needed), tire inflator (with brand new tires, shouldn't need this), assorted maps and battery powered lights, jumper cables, wheel wrenches, rubber mallet, vice grips. Yes, and my CAA (same as AAA) card and cell phone.....in case it still isn't enough....

So if the car breaks down you shoot it?

Some basic tools, flashlight, fix a flat, air compressor, tire plug kit, jumper cables, first aid kit, spare alternator and p.s. belts, and if I'm on a longish trip I throw in a gallon of pre-mixed anti-freeze & water, and a couple quarts of oil. I never thought of carrying spare rad hoses though. That's a good idea.
