Gear reduction Starters
Does anyone have any tips on wiring in a GM Performance Parts Bowtie mini-starter to a '72 SB? The new starter's built-in solenoid has FEWER terminals than the stock one. Specifically, there does not appear to be a place for the "R" (resistor) wire connection on the new starters. And no, there are no directions covering that in the box! Thanks in advance for any insights.

Re: Gear reduction Starters (Tdad)
Don't know about the GMPP starter, but stock TPI/LT1 gear-reduction starters only have a big terminal from the battery and a small terminal to activate the starter, no terminal for the "R" wire. All that does is give a full 12v to the coil for starting. If you have aftermarket/electronic ignition, you are probably not using that wire anyway.
