Has anyone had they'r O-Ring Brake Calipers Stick.
I heard that some have had problems with the o-ring brake calipers sticking and wanted to know if anyone here has ever had this problem.
I am on the verge of purchasing new calipers :cry and as mine is not a daily driver YET, it still gets driven as long as its good weather and everything is working or it's not down for mods. I was told that if you don't drive it every day as long as you push on the pedal say once a week or at least every other week that the regular lip seal brakes will work just fine.
I just want the best bang for the buck and if it's the O-Ring calipers then thats what i want.

I replaced mine this spring. The calipers didn't stick, but unless you break in the pads correctly they can stick inside the caliper. Which was my problem. It only happened once and now they working fine.

Armstrong,
ZTI o-ring pistons are the ultimate for the street or for a car that doesn`t get driven (or on a car with "runout issues"). In my application they allowed too much heat to transfer from the pads into the fluid causing the fluid to turn black. If you want to rebuild calipers a couple of times a season (like I do) stick with the lip seal, if not go o-ring. ...redvetracr
PS: If your wondering what I went "back" to, I use the J-56 piston w/insulator. I sold an NOS set of 16 at Bloomington this year for $1600.
