Need pics of c3 vettes.
I have an -74 Vette that I´ve done a total frame off resto on, but I´m having some trouble deciding on what color to paint her. My frame is mostly red with some parts black, the engine bay is going to be black, the engine is red and silver. It´s been a red car but one thing is sure, I wont paint her red or white.
So now I would need to see some pics and hear some suggestions before I decide. BTW the interior is black leather. I´m kind of leaning towards a very dark green metallic.
So come on guys and girls I need your opinion and pics.

Mine's Elkhart Green but I am thinking about painting it blue...not sure what shade yet.

I'm partial to bluen when speaking about vette colours, but I don't know if it fits to red frame... You should have painted your frame to yellow so you could have Swedish colours with blue body... :smash:

If you paint it Flame Orange I will guaranttee you will be noticed. :cool: I origionally was going to paint mine black but now after 15 years the signature says it all. :cheers:

Well, I"m partial to burgundy, as you can see, but when repainting comes up, i'ts going to be white on bottom, fading through green/blue to black on top, just like a shark.....some day....
My suggestion is for you to visit a auto paint store near you, and look at their color chip/books.....lotsa neat colors out there.....
stay away from clear coats, they tend to yellow and peel/fade out over time...
just look at all the sun damaged cars out there, all makes....
I would use a 2 part urethane type thing....a one step paint...nice and heavy on the pigment so it covers without sweat.....lazy, I know.....

I was a "Red" fan when it came to Vettes but after driving around in a Yellow one all summer I would have to say go with Yellow. People seem to notice it more. Then they pull up or walk up and say cool car to ya haha. Only one thing about yellow though. Bugs love to land on it when parked :rolleyes:

If i could have them all one of each 69 vert. silver , 70 coupe black and 73 vert. red and all BB and i am still dreaming. :lol:
