Good question! I just got a Sirius portable system, and I'll be exploring that very question tomorrow...

BTW: Satellite radio rocks!

I wonder if the signal can go through the fiberglass? A hidden installation that takes advantage of the body composition would be cool!

I installed a Pioneer head unit and I mounted the XM receiver in the jack compartment. I got a small mag mount antenna and put it on top of the screw that holds the cover to my passenger seat belt retractor. Been there for awhile and I get great reception. :seeya :)

I've been wondering the same. Could it be mounted over the hole on the body where the original antenna comes up, and with the wire coming up through the hole?

i deal with xm all day at the dealership and even in the service bay it works great through steel and concrete, i would put it inside the back window of the car if you have a coupe just above where the cargo cover comes out. I don't know about sirius though, xm is much larger, actually has 80+% of the market. Hope sirius survives. XM is owned partly by gm, but sirius is supposudly about to come out on fords.

The C5 guys mount their's inside the rear bumper cover. that should work fine on a C3 too, I would think. XM radio is

XM rocks. I have had it for about 7 or 8 months. You will love it.

I've been told I could mount the antenna anywhere on the frame. The signal will travel thru the Vettes glass body.

What's the monthly fee for XM? I have a XM ready head unit, so I just need to get the receiver and antenna, but I was hesitant to commit to yet another monthly bill. Probably still too early since my car isn't drivable at the moment, but soon, very soon:)

I have seen it velcro to the top of the dash pad and it works great.
