You guys don't know what you are talking about!
Corvettes don't rust!! I have spoken to probably 30 people over the phone about the Vettes they have for sale and not a single one had any rust on the frame or birdcage. One guy said, how could there be rust its a Corvette, they are made of fiberglass. When I said I was talking about the frame he informed me that the frame was fiberglass also. So I guess I am very lucky to have run across all the rust free cars in the Northeast. LOL :D :) ;)

Chris you forgot about all of our steel bodied 4 seater vettes with the 80 mpg carb that do not rust either. :lol:

I always thought those frames were made out of aluminium, and now you say its fiberglass.

paul, a few questions...
1) why does it appear there is a tranny line running through the suspension?
2) is that the correct oil pan for that car?
3) is that lower a-arm bent as well?
seriously, that is some nasty rust on that crossmember.
also noticed a little radiator leak as well ;)
somethings just don't look right in that pic :skep:

Of course 'Vettes don't rust!! Chevrolet had the foresight to make every one of their engines leak voluminous quantities of oil so that it constantly sprayed back on the chassis as you drive. I think they referred to this as "Astro Ventilation". I used to think this term meant that air circulation in the passenger compartment design had been improved. Then I bought my own Vette. I then realized that it referred to the how the engine was sealed. :troll
