Default Electric Fan Sensor Location

Planning on installing an electric fan. I am running a 180* thermostat and the Painless wiring kit has a 185* off - 200* on 3/8"npt sensor. Can I use an adapter in the thermostat housing to reduce the existing 1/2" npt down to 3/8" npt for sensor use? If not, where would be a good place to mount the sensor?

Default Re: Electric Fan Sensor Location (glen242)

I'll watch this thread.

I was planning to use a 180deg sensor switch in the plugged hole at the rear of the passenger side head. (where the stock sensor would be if it were the driver's side head)

I don't have any threaded holes in my thermostat housing.

Maybe that's not a good idea?

Either one of those locations should work fine, guys.
