Default Temperature sender

OK I have some aftermarket heads and the stock temperature sender wont work. So I emailed the manufacturer of the heads and the sender unit is 1/2 NPT. Does anybody know what temperature sender I need to order to accomadate this?

A couple of months ago someone posted a part number for a Volvo temp sensor 3/8" npt that was a very close match (resistance wise) to our 1/2" npt sensors. The part number was WT510, so far I haven't found a source for this part number. But since I live in BFE Texas, it doesn't surprise me that the part can't be found.
I posted this a couple of months ago in response to the same question you are asking. I never did find a source for the Volvp part, maybe you'll have better luck.
Other people have had luck using the sensor for the 81-82 'vette, I think they were 3/8" ntp.

Take a look at http://www.lectriclimited.com and click on "switches and electrical devices.

These are supposedly exact reproduction sending units with proper resistance, terminals, and thread sizes (1/2npt). The only problem I see is that they say they are out of stock until late November. :cry

Let me know how yours works when you get it, my temp gauge reads way too low and I was thinking of getting one of these to fix it.
