Default rear supension/ brake questions??

Can I remove the rear dust shield and caliper bracket without disassembling the entire trailing arm/ bearing/ spindle support? It looks like if I loosened those 4 nuts, I could. Would this be a bad idea?

thanks

No, if you remove the anchor plate (dust shield) the plate will be loose but you won't be able to take it off. The large nut and square block for the parking brake (what is that block thing called?) must be unscrewd and you can't take it out with the spindle in place. You have to remove the spindle from the hib to be able to completely remove it. Another option is just ripping the shield apart w/ some metal snips.
