Default Experience with Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros?

Does anyone have any experience with MT Sportsman Pros? Are they more of a street tire or would they still be a good tire for the strip? I would like something that I can drive to the strip with, compete in a DOT class if necessary and also get good 60' times. But I also wouldn't mind hauling slicks in my truck and changing tires at the track.

Opinions?

I have em but wouldn't use em EXCEPT at the track- they're really just a cheater slick that isn't built for normal use. You'd be far better off buying some drag radials if you want a tire for both street & strip. Also, the Mickey Thompson E/T Street is virtually as good as a full slick but is a DOT approved tire. It came out after I bought the Sportsman Pros- if I was buying a DOT tire now for the track only it'd be the E/T Street.

This is the reason I ask:

I would like to get these as a track only pair of wheels but will they even hook up as well as drag radials? Or am I better off waiting for a good deal on a set of wheels with hoosiers or ET streets?

I think that ET Streets would be the best selection...
