Went to a great car club event last Saturday!
Our local car club put on an event last Saurday called "Hot August Nights".
It was a car show that was held at the local Drive-In theatre.
For $10 per person in the car, you got the movie and barbeque beginning at 6:00 pm. They had a small technical driving course and balance beam for participants. At 7:30 a poker run was started that went past the 4 senior citizen homes so that they could see all of the old cars, and it finished up at the Dairy Queen where car hopps were put on for the evening to wait on the old cars and to get your last card. Once everyone had their free sundae, it was back to the Drive-In for the feature movie "Two Lane Blacktop".
The movie sucked, but the rest of the evening was unique enough to make a realy cool event. :party:

I can't remember the last time I saw a Drive-Inn theatre. Sounds like alot of fun. :cheers:
