Default Oil Capacity for LT1 engine?

Can anyone tell me what the oil capacity would be for a LT1 engine using a AC Delco PF 35 oil filter?

:iagree:
The early 70 LT1 had a 6qt oil pan, that is why you could not get power steering early on. They then changed to a 5qt pan in late 70 to allow for the option of power steering. So if the LT1 is a 71 or 72 it is 5 qts plus the filter. If it is a 70, then would depend upon which oil pan. If it has P/S then it is the 5 qt pan.
