Show Car Sign.....what do you put on it? How big?
I plan to enter my Vert in a regional show and wanted to have a sign with it. What does one put on those signs....I have seen so many, I have forgotten what goes on them......

Here's and idea. Put your forum name on there so other members that might see your car know who you are. I'll see if I have some pics of some other peoples signs so we can see what they put on there.

I personally wouldny bother with one. I think they're pretty tacky. Then to top it off, there are the few who bring out every trophy theyve won.

Some indoor shows require a sign if you want to compete.
I made mine out of a piece of foam board I got at Hobby Lobby or Michaels (craft stores). I used stick on letters from the same places. The foam is grey and the letters black, kind of like my car (silver with black interior).
Mine says 74 Corvette, I listed the options (or lack thereof) and a few mods I have done. I used a couple nice used emblems (front emblem and Stingray emblem) to dress it up a little, and bought an inexpensive wooden easle(sp?) to sit it on. Looks pretty good, and it was cheap.
I have seen some pretty nice ones that were made on the computer, then printed on large piece of paper at Kinko's or other copy center and glued to the foam board. That way you can have a lot of color and photos if you want. A little more expensive for the printing I think, but would look good.

I've used one for the past few years when I go to shows. I made it using Print Artist which allows you to choose any size poster you want and then prints the pages out so you can paste them together. I have the paint and major mods listed on mine along with a few pictures and my website. It gets attention at the shows especially the line that says "Backyard Paint Job". Most don't believe it until I show them the photo album.
