Default Door Weatherstripping Question

I'm trying to clean up before Carlisle and I've decided to remove excess glue and gunk around the driver's door. I've been having trouble closing the door and noticed the weatherstripping hanging a bit. I've cleaned up the area and I'm ready to glue but I was wondering which edge goes where. I am concerned with the area below the screw holes on the vertical from the top to the bottom of the door. It's a bit difficult to explain, but there's a seam on the weatherstripping and I was wondering if the seam is hidden against the door or if it is exposed? Does the strip lay completely flat against the door skin edge or does the bulk of the strip head towards the car when it is closed? Stupid question, but I dont want to tear down and re-glue. Thanks in advance.

Matt
