L88 air cleaner ?Question
Has anyone gotten a filter for the l88 in hood style at the parts store? I looked at the napa site but I don't think they have it listed. Anywhere else?

I remember someone here on the forum that was using a regular pleated paper filter in the air box, I hope they respond......

If you're asking about the large filter that goes inside the air chamber, I'm sure they're available but don't know where to point you except maybe Zips or the other Vette parts shops we all know about. For mine I used the K&N filter that replaced the stock 390 HP element for my Vette. I used weather sealing w/ adhesive on one side & applied it to both sides of the element, then trimmed it down til I had the right height for a snug fit. It comes out easily for cleaning & I figure I'll never have to find another one. Good luck.

Here's a pic of the air filter element for an L-88. It's sitting on top of the air chamber which hasn't been bonded to the hood. As you can see it's simply a foam element and held in place by the metal mesh screen. You can get replacements at Paregon or improvise like Les and others have.
