Default Fuse panel help

Can someone please tell me what this is thats plugged into my fuse panel? The item in question is circled in red. I know an old non working aftermarket alarm was put into this car but I thought I removed all the components. I was poking around my fusebox this past weekend trying to diagnose my power antenna problem and saw this. Any ideas???

Thanks Ganey...I appreciate the info. If I had to pick something that I was willing to have someone else take care of on my vette it would be the wiring. I need to get myself a good wiring manual for my 80.

You are not alone. There's a lot of mechanics that don't know electrical.

Chevy wiring diagram was the first book I got for the 77 (to make changes).
Already knew what I needed to know- performance & HP, etc.

I am still amazed the fuse block stayed there for the full run of the c-3, they must have had a million complaints about its location but still left it there.

It's a PITA in my '68....one would have thought it would have been one of the things the General could have improved for '69 and later years. Guess they wanted to drum up business for the service dept's of dealers!!
