Default Hooker sidmount question

Ok, got the headers mounted to the engine...fun fun.

Now, the sidepipes. The pipes have an angled bracket on them (L) for attaching to the car. But, my previous set had a straight bracket (_), that mounted on the bottom of the frame. Did you guys straighten out the bracket and attach to the frame bottom??? Or, am I missing a mounting point here.

Thanks, Keith

On my '69 there are horizontal "slots" in the side there where you stick the supplied hardware bolts in and it works fine with the "L"-shaped bracket.

I would think yours would, too. ????

Yes, the "L" brackets bolt into holes in the SIDE of the frame, not the bottom.

Ok, welcome to denseness

After removing the bottom piece of trim, I found the proper mounting holes, on the SIDE...duh!

Thanks guys, King of Dense, Keith
