Where did you buy your C3?
I am searching the newspaper, car mags, and online sites looking for the best prices. I'm trying to get a feel for what these things go for dependant on year, condition, engine, etc. I was curious what route others use. I do have a local corvette carlot, that deals in corvettes of all ages. I hope to take the time soon to head down there and see what they have.
So my question to the wonderful and helpful members of this forum.
Where did you get yours? If you got it from a dealership, did you get any warranty package on it?

I bought my first one, a 74, a the show in Carlisle PA. This is next week and is the best place to see alot of vettes for sale -- like hundreds.
The second vette I bought from a guy in CT. It needed some work so I got an awesome deal on it.
Edit -- if you buy from a vette dealer, you may get some piece of mind, but you are paying a premium for the vehicle.

I found all my 3 Vettes in the Autotrader on the Internet... The C5 was locally in North Miami and the C3 was in Connecticut when I bought it...

Went out to get ice for a July 4th BBQ. Saw it in a driveway on the way bought it, almost missed the party. Wife was not happy on 2 counts. I was real happy.

Found my 71 in a local want ads paper. I have since found the local cars aren't as good of a deal is what you will find on ebay, autotrader, and the for sale ssections here on the forum, if you know what to look for.
I found my 94 here on the forum, I find 90% of the people here are the kind you would prefer doing business with, best of luck.

Search of local papers and classifieds. I would use E bay or online pics now though. If searching with ads you will need to check out all of the cars, and I saw some dogs before I found mine in Morgan Hill, CA (the final look)

Bought my 81 off of the street. Made a wrong turn one day and there it was sitting in front of a Motel with a For Sale sign. The guy said his son was more interested in the car than in going to college.

Found mine in Auto Locater. It was in a barn/shed for most of the last 22 years. Going to be shipping to Salix Pa for fresh paint September 28th. I spent the time waiting for my paint to be done to detail the engine. It was horrific - basically 22 years of crud and dust. Buying all the seat restoration items at Carlise this week so that will be my winter project. Paint scheem will be Bryar Blue with white Baldwin-Motion stripes and white rear facia. Plus items, #'s matching, very original untouched car, even the seatbelts are near perfect. Still checking #'s on components, only thing not original is the intake manifold. Good luck in your hunt!
