Rear Brake Rotors
Yesterday I bled my rear brakes because my pedal had been getting softer and I have noticed a little pulsing from the rear. Well my right rear rotor has a stepped groove in it. I wonder should I get it turned and hope for the best or go ahead and buy new rotors? If I buy new, where to get them? I don't need the best rotors, I just want to stop and not have to bleed them again. Any ideas where to shop.

I found a RAYBESTOS rotor for $21.79 at RockAuto.com. That seems awfully cheap. Any thoughts?

Turning the rotors will almost always create the problem you have. Even new rotors may not help if they are not indicated for run-out on the car. There is an NCRS article (bendix brake service bulletin) that explains the whole thing. There are a few places that can true the rotor on the car. Those that use the new "O" ring seal calipers say that it eliminates the problem..I'd do a search on that or check with one of the corvette brake places like Vette brakes. We have the technoligy, we can fix it. :yesnod:

RayBestos products used to be made in Stratford CT, in fact they did a good job of polluting the whole area. They used to have good product, but I don't know where they are made these days?
I bought new USA made rotors from Bairs,I think they are about $60. I had to shim both new and used to get the runout down to .001-.002". Always check the rotors for runout and correct before bleeding the system.
