HELP!!! Do I need a ballist resistor?
I have the stock 73 ignition, points distributor. I am installing an MSD BLaster 2 coil. Do I need to install a ballist resistor, or is the resistor wire from the starter enough?
Thanks, Steve.

the stock ign. has a feed that already has a resistor in it, only full 12V is given on startup, after that it's less.
I would use the ballast resistor and check what voltage you get, there are specs in the MSD manual (aren't there?) Maybe you'll even need 2 resistors, they come in several ratings.
