Fixed High Idle, but.....
1982 Crossfire was idling about 2.5K in park. Fixed that with much help/researching I did on this forum thanks. Ended up being a bad IAC. SO here's what I've put on the car besides the new IAC:
Cap/Rotor
O2 Sensor
Water Coolant temp Sensor
Now it idles correctly, but runs semi-rough at idle. If I unplug the EST lead to set the timing, it stalls before I can get it to 6 BTC. With it set on 8 BTC and plug in the EST, it backfires bad through the TBIs (whiteish with maybe a hint of blie smoke). Right now I have it at 36 BTC?? I turn the dial on back of my timing gun to 30 advance and the timing mark lines up perfectly on the 6 BTC. This can't be right can it?? With it in this position it also sounds like there is some serious detonation in the mufflers. Any ideas???

OK, this morning after first cranking..... (rogman16)
it was idling about 1100 rpms. I accidently touched the brakes and the idle jumped to 1600 and wouldn't come back down till it got warm. Any ideas???
