Had a good compliment today on the vette.
I was getting gas in the vette and a guy with a good looking trans am from the early 70's pulled up to the pump next to mine and his car sounded very mean, with the kind of throaty rumble you hear at the track. Well, he's filling up and I'm getting ready to leave and a kid that's getting in another car yells at me to tell me I have a nice car. Don't think he even noticed the Trans Am. I have nothing against trans am's but it was still kinda cool.

Yesturday I had two C4's and one C5 wave to me. A BMW M3 also gave me a headnod and a thumbs up. And high school just started a few days ago and a lot of people are saying I have a nice car. Too bad I don't have good paint :rolleyes: .

To add to the discussion...
On Monday I was at the DMV to register my newest addition and some guy was popping off how he was in there to title a '68 camaro that needed completely redone. He kept running on.... and running on.... and I just waited for my turn to be called up to the window. Ends up we were called to adjoining windows to do our transaction at about the same time and he heard me asking to register what I had as a classic. He looked over and said.... "So whatcha got?"
"71 big block vette... 454.... 4 speed.... black coupe".... I responded. Yea... I added all that in.
He shut up. Go figure it! :lol:
I gotta admit... I forgot how purty a black chome bumper vette is.

Feels good doesn't it? You have a nice car there.
I was driving through a small town about a month ago and a kid in a very nice camaro looked over at me and gave me a BIG :thumbs: made me feel pretty good too. :cheers:
