WHO WANTS TO KNOW HOW TO WIRE AN ALTERNATOR!?
this is not a gameshow, I found a wiring diagram that explains it well for myself and i thought maybe some of your guys might want to see it too. Mrvette was correct on everything he said. Basically "alternator clip terminal #2" gets 12V, BAT gets 12V (heavy gauge) and the brown "alternator clip terminal #1" goes to a light bulb and the other side of the light bulb goes to 12V. Gnd wire to Gnd. Note that "alternator clip terminal #2" should actually get 12V only when key is in the on position, because apparently it may draw power and kill your battery over night as it excites the windings and will draw when your car is not running.

I sent you some pictures that show the difference between standard Chev (with the light) and the Corvette wiring (with the resistance wire)

Yeh, I have a small problem with describing the regulator terminals with any number sequence, as a LOT of the castings are not marked, not clear enough to see anyway in some cases....so I just describe best as comes to mind....
