How should I make my Rear End Bulletproof at 600HP?
I was planning on a solid axle rear end. Any experience in this area?
Recommendations please! For use on street/strip 81. Anyone put a fuel cell in? Thanks!!

I have a HP Kit. Since you have an 81, I would recommend you change it to the cast rear. It bolts right up to your aluminum cover. Go to 30 spline spindles and rear. 3 1/2 half shafts. Go to the 1450 series u-joints. If you check out my sight i have a pic. Vansteel.com than go to the pull down menu. Click on additional kits than click on 63-79 High Performance Half Shaft Kit. It gives you a goo idea of what it looks like w/out the t-arms though. If you want i have pics from an 80 that i recently did. He has a super charged vette w/more than 600 rwhp.

A thaught just occured to me when you mentioned 600hp and a bullet proof rear.At first I was thinking a wise crack response,but in all seriousness,for power levels like this a scatter shield should be concidered mandatory.
Do you realize how close your rear is to your rear?
