Let's say Corvette Forum closed it's doors
Just theoretical guys/gals.... but if it did happen the question is.... "Can you make it on your own?" This is just for fun so take it that way. Everyone is encouraged to add their poll answer. Comedians are welcomed! And add a (-) with your user name so we can see who says what. Having been known to be a bit of a wize-azz I start it out.

Oh, I'd make it just fine. :yesnod: I remember the "old forums" and when they went, we all survived. Of course, I would miss the friendship though. :seeya

I've already made enough new friends and found enough new resources
here, that I could make it - no problem.
But, then - where would I vent all my compulsive and addictive behaviour ?
I'd have to go to another forum. The other one (CAC) is the official site
of our local Corvette Club - but I never go there. It's just better here - at
least until the OT guys storm into 'our' room.

I would be a lot closer to becoming a real auto mechanic because I would be taking a lot more night classes at my local tech college.

The forum has doors :skep:
If the forum were to go away, I would be left with about 2 hours more a day to get into trouble doing something else. :D

I'd be bummed... My wife would love it. It's bad enought doing without 100 octane gas... If the forum closed it might push me over the edge. :lolg:

I'm not saying this forum is all that important to me, but I spend an hour or two a day here, several hours each week attempting work on the vette, and several minutes driving it. Were it not for the advice, fine examples, and encouragement here, I would have ditched the vette, started driving an old Fairlane, and begun surfing **** sites...My kid would hate me for selling "his" vette, my wife would divorce me 'cause of the ****, and I'd end up a broke and unloved pervert drowning his sorrows in booze and cheap hookers. :nopity

But, I seriously doubt that 1/2 of the people on this forum would have done the work they have done to their vette without the support & help. And many might have just given up and sold it. Take it as you wish. I've stopped many times on my project and just participating in this site gives you hints of things to look for and maybe days, weeks(or months) later you pick back up on it and it all ends up worth it. I've thought about getting rid of the '74, but with just members stopping by to help it helps change your mind when you get frustrated.
