I think I just bought a Summit Racing private label job.
Starts the 427 just fine. But I did put a good aluminum heat shield on it...

Re: which mini starter should i get (427V8)
I've been having problems with headers killing starters. Killed a Delco starter in 2 days, killing a "racing mini" starter in 5 days.
Recommendations were for me to get one from thsi place: http://www.mean-green.com
Gear reduction, integrated solenoid, and built in heat shielding. Approved for the high heat applications, including dragsters. Comes with an unconditional 2 year warrantee.
It has not arrived yet, so I can't tell you how good it is, but I can tell you that is what I am going with, after recommendations from a Corvette only shop, several racers, and memebers of this forum.
Good luck with your choice.
