Re: Gameshow Bob - Got that LS1 runnin' yet. (Budman78)
Well, I can start it reliably but I'm still working on getting the wiring in a better manner before I venture away from the house. I've had friends and family in town the past two weekends and havent had much time to work on it. Hopefully tonight I should have something a little more solid going on. I have gotten my LS6 beauty covers in the mean time and put them on. They look pretty sharp! Thanks for the intrest!

Re: Gameshow Bob - Got that LS1 runnin' yet. (70 LS1)
I drove it around the block yesterday to see how it was going to do. I had the alternator hooked up incorrectly and I killed my battery, I also found a few things I need to tighten down before I take it out again. Everything is looking very promising though!!! I thought I'd throw in the clutch picture for the hell of it too

Yeah, I hear ya. I still need a speedometer and tach for mine.
But first I gotta finish these brakes. I still don't know why I started them before the gauges.

Bob,
That looks AWESOME!
those clutch master cylinders you have pictured there, what are they originally for? I have 2 units for my ZF6 transmission and the rod on them is way too small. I was about to modify them but the ones I see in your pics have much longer rods, the right length ???

Re: Gameshow Bob - Got that LS1 runnin' yet. (Twin_Turbo)
The top one with the chopped line is from the 2000 TA donor car where the engine came from. The other bulkier looking one is a $30 autozone replacement part for an '85 1 ton GM pickup. I have the size of the fittings on a receipt somewhere if you need to know. I had to shorten the rod an inch or two btw.

all those cylinders use the same fittings on the hydraulic (braided) line I think (at least all the ones I checked had the same thread) Hmm, you'll have to shorten it. Well, shortening or making it longer takes about as much work so I guess I'll just make mine longer since I have these units already (have used and spare ones. can't have too many replacement parts :) )
