The only new one I have seen was from Corvette America and they only had the drivers side mirror and it was something like $150. I am considering getting the bullet (sport) style, as I have the single chrome mirror (the sport mirrors were an option).

You might be able to find some used ones from a junk yard for not too much. Try calling these guys: http://www.corvettejunkyards.com/main.html They should have them, they might be a little pricey though. Doesn't hurt to call and ask though.

OH... Welcome to the forum. :seeya

Hit the boneyards man. The sport mirrors with the long extension are the ones that work. There's basically two types of sport mirrors made by GM, yes you can look on any GM car. Your B body's (Caprice, Delta88s,...) all have the long extension arm, where as the G body's (Montecarlo, Malibu, Cutlass....) have the short extension just as a refrence. Once you have the mirrors, you'll need the corvette specific door gasket. Basically its a hard plastic piece which sandwhiches between the door and the mirror, you can buy these from all the different corvette parts houses. I had to flip mine over to push the mirrors out the right way. Not really sure why unless the gaskets were for a different car. Anyway it worked.

Here's the best picture I could find that I have online already, if you would like close ups I can supply them later, just email me.

If the picture doesn't work which it probably won't (geocities) here's the link

Just scroll down and there are lots of different angles all showing the mirrors installed.

And as far as the Corvette Junkyard aka Just Corvettes in St. Charles MO, they are way overpriced and ussually the stuff is borken. They wanted $150 for a set of mirrors and both were broken is some way shape or form. They really have a lot of c4 stuff but the c3 section of their warehouse is very small.

Chris,

Have you considered a passenger chrome?

The chrome one's are good... but they don't give you that sports car look.. and if bump them you have to reset them again...

Thanks,

The left remote control sport mirror is still available from GM.

461065 Mirror head assy
461134 gasket (same right or left)
5980 door panel escutcheon

All 3 pieces should cost you around $100.00

The right hand sport mirror has been discontinued for quite awhile, so it is off to the boneyards or maybe one of the vendors.

i just pulled a set of sport mirrors on a late 70's or early 80's Chevy Monza that was basicly dumped on my buddy's farm(yrs ago) by a mutual friend who un-fortunately isn't doing so good health wise. my mirrors are fine, but spares are nice to have.
