Default tilt-a-vet ???

I thought their kit was going to be out by now but I haven't heard anything. So, is it going to come out anytime soon or not?

If it's not, I will probably figure out my own hinge mechanism (shouldn't be too hard) since I already have the clamshell type front end built. I have a frame inside the front to strengthen it up, it runs from the header bar, up alongside where to hood is. The frame bolts into place on some of the stock holes for ginges and latches and to 16 additional holes that I made in the front.

if you look closely you'll see bolt holes in the support structure running along the length of the hood.

I haven't heard anything about their kit. WHat you have looks great though, looks like minimal work to get it functional.

Looks very good  That link that you provided in the thread called "sickest bodykit" has a tilt hood identical to oliviers and maybe they will sell you the brackets and stuff.

the early tilt kit won't work because 80-82 hsa the nose pointing out and lower. You won't be able to tilt the front at all without it hitting the floor. Also, those kits have the hinges where the light frames are, I want to keep the stock lights. I disgust those recessed things and I'm not shelling out the big $$ for some alu and plexiglass to get those guldstrand things. I want it to hinge behind the license plate.

There was a good build up article in one of the magazines a while back of this car that showed a fair bit of detail about the tilt front installation if someone can find it for you.

that's the setup that was sold by Ecklers. It tilts on the header bar, where the lamp buckets mount to. This is only possible on 79 and earlier sharks, the 80-82 nose will hit the floor right below the license plate when only tilted slightly if you hinge it in that area.
