March underdrive pulleys-who has 'em
Anybody else running March underdrive pulleys on an '82? I am doing some trouble shooting and am wondering if they are causing me a low vacuum problem. I have been told the X-fires are vacuum critical. If you have them, does your car idle ok? I have to rev the engine to get the alternator to "spool up" the diodes at first or it does not charge. So I am wondering if these cause low vacuum too????

im running the March under drive pulleys and have no ill side effects from them. Its a common thing to have to rev the engine a bit to "excite" the alt into charging. I cant think of any reasons why the under drive pulleys would effect engine vacuum. The low vacuum reading must be the cause of some other culprit.

No problems here either as far as vaccum. Same story about the alt especially with a load on it.

Thanks for the input everyone. I don't know for sure that I really do have a vacuum problem, I'm just trying to eliminate possible problems, and I thought this may have something to do with it. Now I feel ok with leaving these pulleys on and looking elsewhere. Thanks for the boost. :)
